South Koreas Yonhap news company said President Lee Myung-bak had told browsing senior Chinese foreign policy adviser Dai Bingguo that Seoul was not enthusiastic about the early resumption of the six-party nuclear talks themselves, because it was much more urgent to cope with Pyongyangs belligerence.

The US and South Korea on Sunday began new, pre-arranged army workout routines inside the Yellow Sea, about 125km (77 miles) south of the disputed maritime border amongst the two Koreas.

The aircraft carrier the USS George Washington and 4 other US navy vessels are becoming joined by South Korean destroyers, patrol vessels, frigates, assist ships and anti-submarine aircraft.

Shortly immediately after the workout routines began, North Korea once again vowed to hit back again if its waters were violated.

Yonhap noted that Pyongyang had placed surface-to-surface missiles on launch pads inside the Yellow Sea and had also moved surface-to-air missiles to frontline places, however the Souths defence ministry couldnt verify the deployment.
